Coffee should be the main flavor in a coffee drink. Cocoa, vanilla, cinnamon and maple are familiar food flavors to pair with it.

Adaptogen procedure on hold

The earlier iced and warm adaptogen formulas did not identify a specific ingredient, form or dose. An undefined mushroom or adaptogen blend is not interchangeable with a culinary spice. Those preparation instructions are withheld pending a specific ingredient and product review. No supplement mixing, dosing or escalation directions are supplied. This does not hold ordinary food coffee drinks or a peppermint mocha latte below.

Plain iced coffee formula

Yield: 1 drink; 8 1/6 fl oz before ice. Time: 5 minutes.

  • 1/2 cup ready-to-drink chilled coffee, not undiluted concentrate
  • 1/2 cup cold milk or oat milk
  • 1 teaspoon purchased food vanilla or caramel syrup
  • Ice; small pinch salt, optional
  1. Stir syrup and optional salt into coffee. Pour into a 16-ounce glass over ice and stir in milk.

  2. Serve immediately. Milk stays refrigerated until use; follow purchased coffee storage instructions.

Warm coffee latte formula

Yield: 1 drink; 10 1/6 fl oz. Time: 5 minutes.

  • 3/4 cup freshly brewed coffee
  • 1/2 cup milk or oat milk
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup
  1. Warm milk in a saucepan until steaming; do not seal hot liquid in a shaker.

  2. Stir maple into coffee, add milk and serve immediately.

Coffee flavor options

Yield: as above; lavender option reduces liquid by 1/12 fl oz. Time: 5 minutes.

  • 1 teaspoon purchased food chocolate syrup in place of vanilla/caramel syrup
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup plus 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon per drink
  • 1/2 teaspoon purchased culinary lavender syrup in place of 1 teaspoon syrup
  1. Choose one measured sweetener option for the plain iced coffee or warm coffee formula. Stir into coffee before milk.

  2. Use food products, not essential oils, tinctures or supplement extracts. Rosemary, orange peel and brown-sugar syrups are shopping flavor ideas; no homemade infusion method is supplied here.

A small coffee station

Keep coffee, milk and one labeled food syrup at hand. Concentrate must be diluted according to its label before measuring the ready-to-drink coffee in this formula. Powders can stay gritty even in hot liquid; there is no universal dissolution method for unknown blends.

Refrigerate in a covered clean container at 40 F (4 C) or below and use within 24 hours, a conservative house handling limit. Keep ice and sparkling mixers separate until service. Discard perishable drinks left out more than 2 hours, or 1 hour above 90 F (32 C). Coffee contains caffeine; the page makes no focus, calm, hormone or energy guarantee.
