The drinks
1. Cucumber Aloe Drink
Yield: 6 small portions; measure blend volume, not fixed 8 oz. Time: 10 minutes active plus 15 minutes chia soak.
- 4 cups water
- 1 large washed cucumber, peeled and chopped
- 1 cup lime juice
- 1 tsp ground turmeric
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1/2 cup prepared inner-leaf aloe gel labeled as food for consumption, optional
- 1 tbsp honey or maple, optional
Blend water, cucumber, lime, turmeric, chia and optional aloe until smooth. Use only prepared culinary inner-leaf gel; no home leaf, latex, whole-leaf extract or cosmetic gel. Omit aloe if its identity or label does not match.
Stir in optional sweetener and refrigerate 15 minutes so chia hydrates. Stir to break up seed clumps and divide all mixture equally among 6 glasses; serve over ice.

2. Carrot Ginger Juice
Yield: 2 equal portions; recovery varies, juicer less volume. Time: 10 minutes.
- 3 large washed carrots, trimmed and peeled
- 1 washed apple, cored
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2-inch peeled ginger piece
Chop produce small, blend with water and lemon until smooth, then strain through clean food cheesecloth over a sieve if desired.
For a juicer, juice carrot, apple and ginger, then stir in lemon; omit the blending water. Divide all recovery into two glasses and serve immediately.

3. Strawberry Hibiscus Cooler
Yield: about 6 cups, 6 equal portions; actual recovery varies. Time: 10 minutes active; about 1 hour including steep/cooling.
- 5 cups water
- 5 culinary hibiscus-lemongrass teabags
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 cups frozen strawberries
- 3 cups ice for serving
- 1 cup sliced washed fresh strawberries for garnish
Boil water, take off heat, steep teabags covered 15 minutes, then remove. Cool promptly in shallow heat-safe containers or ice-water bath; do not blend hot tea in a sealed blender.
Blend 2 cups of the cooled tea with frozen berries and honey. Strain if desired and mix with remaining tea. Refrigerate at least 30 minutes or until 40 F or below.
Stir, measure actual recovery and divide equally among 6 glasses with 1/2 cup ice and 1/6 cup fresh berries each.

4. Iced Coconut Matcha Latte
Yield: 1 glass; 8 fl oz measured liquids, 8 1/6 fl oz with sweetener. Time: 5 minutes.
- 1 level tsp matcha (about 2 g)
- 1/4 cup water at 80 C (176 F)
- 1/4 cup canned full-fat coconut milk, stirred
- 1/2 cup cold almond milk
- Ice; 1 tsp maple or honey, optional
Sift matcha, whisk with the water until smoothly dispersed.
Stir the two milks in a 16-ounce glass over ice, add matcha and optional sweetener, stir and serve.

5. Berry Beet Blend
Yield: 2 equal glasses; measured recovery varies. Time: 10 minutes including beet prep.
- 1/2 cup ice
- 1 medium washed beet, peeled and finely diced
- 1/2 cup washed raspberries
- 1/2 cup washed hulled strawberries
- 1/2 cup water
Blend all ingredients for about 45 seconds, then continue if needed until beet is smooth; use the equipment manufacturer’s frozen-ingredient instructions.
Divide all blend between 2 glasses and serve immediately. This is a pulp-retaining blend, not clear strained juice.

6. Pineapple Ginger Turmeric Drink
Yield: 2 small drinks; 7 1/3 fl oz each with sweetener, 7 1/4 fl oz without, before ice. Time: 5 minutes.
- 1 cup pasteurized pineapple juice
- 3/4 cup coconut water
- 1/2 tsp grated fresh ginger
- 1/4 tsp ground turmeric
- Small pinch black pepper, optional
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 1 tsp honey or agave, optional
- Ice
Whisk spices, lime and optional sweetener with 2 tablespoons of the listed pineapple juice to disperse. Add remaining pineapple juice and coconut water.
Shake in a closed cold-drink shaker with ice, or whisk, then stir and divide between 2 glasses over fresh ice. Spices can remain as suspended sediment.

7. Watermelon Mint Juice
Yield: 2 equal portions; variable actual volume. Time: 10 minutes plus chilling if needed.
- 4 cups washed rind-free melon cubes
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp washed mint leaves
- 1 tsp honey, optional
- 1 tbsp lime juice, optional
Blend ingredients until smooth; strain if desired.
Stir and measure actual recovery. Divide equally between 2 glasses and serve cold; chill covered if fruit was warm.

8. Lemon Chia Water
Yield: 2 drinks; 8 3/8 fl oz each liquid before seeds. Time: 5 minutes active plus 15 minutes hydration.
- 2 cups water or coconut water
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1 1/2 tbsp lemon juice
Stir all ingredients and let soak covered in the refrigerator 15 minutes.
Stir again to break up clumps; seeds should be gel-coated before consuming. Divide the mixture between 2 glasses; do not swallow dry chia seeds.

9. Citrus Mint Spritz with Optional Collagen
Yield: 1 glass; 8 1/6 fl oz measured liquids plus ginger , mint and optional powder. Time: 5 minutes.
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 2 tsp chopped fresh ginger
- 1 tsp maple syrup
- 6 washed mint leaves
- 1/2 cup cold sparkling water
- Ice
- Optional: 1 manufacturer scoop Garden of Life Grass Fed Collagen Peptides, only the unflavored product whose label states 20 g collagen per scoop
Stir orange juice, ginger and maple; gently press the mint in a sturdy 16-ounce glass. For optional collagen, use only the named product and its matching label; omit if not matching, unsuitable for you, or you want a plant-only drink. Stir until mixed.
Add ice and sparkling water, stir gently and serve immediately. Collagen and other supplement blends have different ingredients and are not scoop-equivalent.

Handling and ingredient notes
Oral aloe products differ from latex and whole-leaf extract; NCCIH advises caution during pregnancy/breastfeeding and with medicines. Omit aloe if inappropriate. Collagen is optional and animal-derived; check the named product ingredients and label. Almond milk contains almonds. No skin, cognition or anti-inflammatory benefit is promised. Refrigerate in a covered clean container at 40 F (4 C) or below and use within 24 hours, a conservative house handling limit. Keep ice and sparkling mixers separate until service. Discard perishable drinks left out more than 2 hours, or 1 hour above 90 F (32 C). Wash hands and rinse fresh produce under running water before cutting; scrub melon and cucumber skins. Use clean utensils and potable water. Honey drinks are unsuitable for infants under 12 months. Fresh blended or squeezed juice is untreated; use pasteurized juice options for guests at greater risk of foodborne illness.
