This cranberry and pineapple punch gets its bubbles from ginger ale. The juices go in first and the soda follows just before serving.

Make ahead and keep it cold

Serve the punch fresh. Chill the ingredients first and add ginger ale at serving time to preserve the bubbles. Refrigerate leftovers promptly and use within one day. Frozen garnish adds color but does not replace keeping the punch cold.

Yield and scaling

The measured liquids total 11 cups, or 88 US fluid ounces, before ice and garnish. That gives 11 one-cup pours; smaller cups give more servings. A 12-cup yield would overstate the measured liquid total.

For a double batch, use 12 cups ginger ale, 6 cups cranberry juice and 4 cups pineapple juice: 22 cups before ice. For a triple batch, use 18, 9 and 6 cups respectively: 33 cups. A US gallon is 16 cups. Choose the number of batches by the amount you plan to pour, rather than treating a gallon as a fixed number of guests.

Juice choices

Use regular cranberry juice, not cranberry juice cocktail. Pure unsweetened cranberry juice is a different product and should not be treated as an equivalent substitution. Orange juice and sparkling apple cider are not part of this formula. A recipe that measures those ingredients is a separate variation with its own liquid total.

Common questions

Can I prepare the ingredients ahead?

Chill the ingredients before serving and keep the ginger ale separate until mixing. Serve fresh, or refrigerate leftovers promptly and use within one day.

How much does one batch make?

The three liquids add up to 11 cups before ice. Plan portions using your actual cup size.

Why did it go flat?

Opened soda gradually loses carbonation. Keep it chilled, add it last and stir gently. Make another small batch as needed rather than repeatedly topping up a warm bowl.

How should I handle leftovers?

No kitchen test or shelf-life study is claimed. Keep the punch cold and use refrigerated leftovers within one day.
