Half a cup of cream and a quarter teaspoon of spice are the verified measures in Feel Good Foodie. Five minutes starts with chilled ready-to-drink coffee, not dry grounds or undiluted concentrate.

Prep: 5 minutes with components ready. Total: About 5 minutes with components ready; see component times. Yield: 2 drinks (about 330 ml ingredients each before frothing air and ice).

Ingredients

  • 1/2 US cup (120 ml) cold heavy cream or half-and-half
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) plain pumpkin puree, not pie filling
  • 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 2 US cups (480 ml) cold ready-to-drink cold brew coffee
  • 1 US cup serving ice, divided; reduce for headroom

Method

  1. In a cold jug holding at least 480 ml, whisk cream, maple, pumpkin and spice until uniform; froth about 30-60 seconds until foamy and pourable.
  2. Put modest ice in each of two glasses holding at least 600 ml. Add exactly 240 ml cold coffee to each.
  3. Divide all pumpkin cream equally between the two glasses, including the foam. Serve promptly and stir if desired.

Coffee, Foam and Measured Options

Use ready-to-drink cold brew prepared as its label directs. If using concentrate, dilute it according to that label first, then measure 480 ml. Chilled ordinary brewed coffee may replace cold brew in the same 480 ml measure. Brew and cool before the five-minute assembly clock; cooling time depends on batch size. No unsourced home coffee steep or room-temperature storage method is implied.

Heavy cream forms fuller foam than half-and-half; stop while it remains pourable. With no frother use a cold clean covered jar holding at least 480 ml and shake about 1 minute, or whisk in an open bowl. Only cold liquids go into a sealed jar. For an oat version replace the 120 ml cream with 120 ml labeled barista oat drink; expect looser foam, not the same cream structure. Keep all other measures and split equally. For less sweet cream reduce maple to 15 ml, giving about 315 ml liquid per glass before air/ice; for vanilla add 1/4 teaspoon alcohol-free vanilla flavoring to the whole cream batch.

Four Drinks, Cold Storage and Coffee Ice

For four drinks froth 240 ml cream, 60 ml maple, 60 ml pumpkin puree and 1/2 teaspoon pie spice. Divide evenly over four 240 ml coffee portions, using 960 ml prepared coffee total. Assembly about 10 minutes. Keep unfrothed cream mixture covered at 40 F (4 C) or below; use within 24 hours for quality and froth near service. This shorter house target replaces the publisher’s 5-7-day holding suggestion. Opened cream/pumpkin labels may require sooner. No universal remaining-can shelf life is implied.

For coffee ice, freeze ready-to-drink cooled coffee in a covered food-safe tray at 0 F (-18 C) until solid, about 4 hours or longer. Use instead of serving ice; reserve additional coffee for those cubes, not the 480 ml poured into these drinks. Use within 1 month as a quality target; thaw surplus in the refrigerator. Do not freeze cream foam expecting the same texture. Caffeine and calories depend on the products; no guessed nutritional totals or gut/health benefit is supplied.

Cold Storage and Service

Wash fresh produce under running water before cutting, including melon rind; scrub firm produce with a clean brush. Use pasteurized ready-to-drink juices and cider. Keep prepared drinks and cut fruit covered at 40 F (4 C) or below. Cool heated components promptly in shallow heat-safe containers, using an ice-water bath before refrigeration when useful. Do not seal or shake hot liquid.

Use fruit, dairy and assembled drink bases within 24 hours for quality; strained plain tea and homemade syrups within 3 days, unless an ingredient label requires sooner. These are conservative house quality targets, not tested shelf lives. Add carbonation, ice and garnish at service. Keep a small serving jug chilled over ice and refill from the refrigerator. Discard perishables after a cumulative 2 hours without refrigeration, or 1 hour above 90 F (32 C); adding fresh fruit does not reset that clock. Follow commercial ingredient labels for unopened/opened storage. Honey-containing drinks are for people at least one year old.
