This rosemary grapefruit spritz uses a small rosemary-honey preparation, then a measured teaspoon of that preparation in the glass. Optional gin or vodka is omitted.
This measured formula uses a small rosemary-honey preparation. No independent tasting or testing is claimed.

Make the rosemary-honey preparation first
- 1-2 teaspoons honey
- 1-2 teaspoons water
- 1 fresh rosemary sprig
Warm these together until combined, then remove from heat and let cool. Remove the sprig before measuring the liquid. Warm and cool the preparation before serving; no storage period is established. Make it for the drinks you intend to serve; this page supplies no shelf-life promise.
Ingredients for one spritz
- 1 cup fresh grapefruit juice
- 1 teaspoon cooled rosemary-honey preparation from above
- Chilled sparkling water or club soda, to top to taste
- Ice
- Fresh rosemary sprig and grapefruit slice, optional garnish
Choose a glass with room for the juice, ice and top-up. Sparkling water is added to taste; no finished ounce yield is specified. Measure juice rather than assuming one grapefruit gives a cup.
Mix and serve
Put the juice and measured teaspoon of preparation in the glass. Add ice, top with cold sparkling water or club soda, stir gently and add an optional fresh garnish. Keep bubbles out of a shaker. This version uses honey; sweeteners can vary in strength.

One glass or four: measure the finished preparation
| Component | 1 drink | 4 drinks |
|---|---|---|
| Grapefruit juice | 1 cup | 4 cups |
| Cooled rosemary -honey preparation | 1 tsp | 4 tsp |
| Sparkling water | To taste | Add to each glass to taste |
Make enough preparation to measure four teaspoons after cooling. The starting honey and water measures are not a guaranteed strained yield. For four glasses, divide the juice and measured preparation first, then add ice and sparkling water to each at serving.
Grapefruit and medicines
FDA explains that grapefruit can change the effects of some medicines . Read your medicine label and ask your pharmacist about your actual medicine. Not all medicines interact. FDA also flags Seville oranges, pomelos and tangelos for potentially similar effects, so a citrus swap is not automatic clearance.
If you need a different drink, the lavender honey lemon mocktail has its own ingredients; it is not a guarantee of personal suitability. Rosemary supplies aroma here, not an immune or respiratory treatment.
Choose a different preparation
The grapefruit thyme fizz uses lime and has a different flavor profile. Use its full formula rather than adding its ingredients to this glass. The mocktail pantry guide compares syrups, cordials and ready mixers.
